Risk Disclosure & No-Advice Disclaimer
Why we never guarantee profit. What confidence scores actually mean. What you accept by using us.
Risk Disclosure & No-Advice Disclaimer
Effective date: 2026-05-10
Version: 2026-05-10
Markets are chaotic. Projections are estimates. Profits and losses are expected. We guarantee nothing.
Read This Before You Trade
By creating an account, you separately and explicitly affirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Risk Disclosure. This is not click-wrap. This is a contractual acknowledgment that you take responsibility for every trading decision you make.
If you cannot accept the statements below, do not create an account.
1. The Service Is a Tool, Not Advice
Plain English: We give you analysis. We do not give you advice. There is a difference, and that difference matters when you lose money.
Market Sniper provides market analysis, ranked trading ideas, market-health context, item history, scoring, and (on certain paid tiers) AI-assisted synthesis and coaching for in-game economies. The Service is an analytical instrument, not an advisor.
Nothing the Service produces is, or should be construed as:
- investment advice;
- financial advice;
- trading advice;
- legal, tax, or accounting advice;
- a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or take any action with respect to any in-game asset;
- a guarantee, prediction, forecast, projection of future performance, or assurance of any outcome;
- personalized to your individual circumstances, risk tolerance, financial situation, or game-progression goals.
The Service does not know you. It does not consider whether a given trade is appropriate for you. You are the only person who can decide whether to act.
2. We Do Not Guarantee Profit
Plain English: We never promise you'll make money. Anyone who promises that is lying. Trading is risk.
We make no guarantee, representation, warranty, or promise — express or implied — that you will profit from using the Service. Profits and losses are expected outcomes of any trading activity. Many users will lose value over time, just as many will gain. The Service does not change that reality.
Past performance does not predict future results. Historical patterns reflected in our scoring, rankings, and analysis may not repeat. Markets evolve. Players change behavior. Game publishers intervene. The future is not the past.
3. Confidence Scores Are Not Probabilities of Profit
Plain English: A "high confidence" score does NOT mean "you will probably make money." It means "this pattern has been consistent in past data."
The Service surfaces "confidence" scores and grades alongside ranked opportunities. You must understand what these scores actually measure:
- A confidence score is a composite measure of historical pattern replicability — how consistently a particular structural pattern (margin shape, volume stability, spread persistence, etc.) has held across past observed snapshots.
- A confidence score is NOT a probability of profit. It does not estimate your odds of making money on the next trade. It does not estimate your odds of avoiding loss. It does not condition on current market conditions, your game-account state, your buy limit, or any other forward-looking variable.
- A "high confidence" rating means "this pattern has been historically replicable in our data." It does not mean "trade this and you will profit."
- The scoring methodology, the inputs, and the weighting are subject to change. Two users viewing the same item may see different scores at different moments based on data freshness, snapshot cadence, or methodology updates.
Do not interpret a confidence score as a probability statement. Do not size positions as if it were one. Do not assume that high-confidence trades collectively produce profitable outcomes.
4. Projections Are Speculation Backed by Math, Not Predictions
Plain English: Our ROI numbers, our scoring, our "what to watch next" — these are educated guesses with math behind them. They are not predictions of the future.
Projections, ROI calculations, RPI scores, volatility ratings, market-health classifications, "what to watch next" narratives, "when this weakens" signals, AI-synthesized analysis, and any other forward-leaning content produced by the Service are structured speculation backed by evidence, mathematics, and methodology. They reflect what the data shows about past patterns and current snapshot context — they are not predictions of what the market will do.
Use this content as one input among many. Do not use it as the sole basis for any decision. Do not assume that any number, score, or narrative tells you what will happen next.
5. Data Is Snapshot-Based, Not Real-Time
Plain English: We show you snapshots of the market. The market keeps moving. By the time you act, conditions may have changed.
The Service consumes publicly available market data from supported game publishers on a snapshot cadence. We are explicit about this on our pricing page: we do not claim to be real-time. To be truly real-time, we would need to observe every player's trade as it happened, and that is not possible.
You acknowledge that:
- the prices, volumes, spreads, ROI calculations, confidence scores, market-health states, and other outputs reflect the most recent snapshot we received — not the current state of the market;
- by the time you place a trade, conditions may have changed materially (price, available volume, queue depth, the presence of other traders);
- snapshot cadence varies by game and by data source; some refresh in seconds, others in minutes, others in hours;
- snapshot freshness is surfaced in the heartbeat ribbon — read it;
- we do not guarantee data accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
6. AI-Assisted Features (Pro+) — Tools, Not Advisors
Plain English: The "AI synthesis" and "AI coach" features on Pro+ are computer-generated tools. They can be wrong. They sometimes invent things ("hallucinate"). Don't trust them as the only thing you check.
Pro+ subscribers gain access to AI-assisted features including but not limited to "Deep AI synthesis", "AI coach", "Goal setting plans", and similar functionality. You acknowledge:
- AI-generated outputs are produced by computational systems with known limitations, including but not limited to: hallucination (the AI confidently states things that are not true), bias (the AI reflects patterns in its training data), incompleteness (the AI may omit critical context), and miscalibration (the AI may sound confident about uncertain matters);
- AI-generated outputs are not financial advice, are not personalized to you, and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for any trading decision;
- AI-generated outputs are subject to the same no-guarantee disclaimer as every other Service output (Sections 2–4);
- AI-generated outputs may differ between sessions and between users for the same input — they are not deterministic;
- the underlying AI provider, model, and methodology may change over time without notice;
- AI feature availability is subject to fair-use limits and may be throttled or temporarily restricted.
Treat AI outputs the way you would treat a verbose intern who happens to be very fast at reading: useful for context, dangerous if you stop verifying.
7. Practice Mode (Pro) Is Educational, Not Predictive
Plain English: Practice Mode lets you trade with fake money so you can learn. Real markets behave differently. Doing well in Practice does not mean you will do well in real trading.
Pro subscribers gain access to Practice Mode (paper trading) — a simulated trading environment using real market data but no real in-game wealth at stake. Practice Mode is provided as an educational and confidence-building tool for users new to in-game trading, consistent with our position that experience is recommended but not assumed.
You acknowledge:
- Practice Mode is a simulation. Outcomes in Practice Mode are not predictive of outcomes in live trading;
- the simulation does not perfectly model real market depth, slippage, partial fills, latency, queue position, the behavior of competing live traders, or any other dynamic of an actual live market;
- consistent simulated profits do not translate to consistent live profits;
- consistent simulated losses do not necessarily translate to consistent live losses (you may avoid the costliest mistakes in live trading by virtue of having made them in simulation);
- Practice Mode is provided "as is" with the same disclaimers that apply to every other Service feature.
Use Practice Mode to learn the mechanics, to test hypotheses, to feel the rhythm of decision-making — not to convince yourself that you have a profitable strategy.
8. Game Economies Are Volatile and Subject to Publisher Action
Plain English: The game's owner controls the economy. They can change everything overnight. We have no influence over them.
In-game markets are subject to forces and risks that real-world financial markets are not, including but not limited to:
- balance changes (the publisher buffs or nerfs an item, redirecting demand);
- item reworks (the publisher changes what an item does, instantly altering its value);
- transaction-fee changes (publisher GE tax rate changes, broker fees, posting fees);
- duplication exploits or other bugs that flood the market;
- account bans (your individual account, or many accounts at once);
- bot-banning waves (the publisher removes large numbers of accounts, affecting supply and demand);
- server resets, fresh starts, league servers, seasonal economies;
- game-publisher policy changes (e.g., new restrictions on third-party tools, API changes that limit data availability);
- the game itself ending operations.
You accept these risks. We are not liable for any loss resulting from publisher action, game changes, or any other event outside our control.
9. You Are Responsible for Compliance with Game Publisher Terms
Plain English: Each game has its own rules. We are not those rules. If you break the game's rules, that is between you and the game owner.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the terms of service, end-user license agreement, code of conduct, and any other rules of every game publisher whose data you view or act upon through the Service.
If a game publisher prohibits the use of third-party market analysis tools, takes action against your game account for any reason, or otherwise alters its policies, that is between you and the game publisher. We have no role in that relationship.
We never ask for your game account password, your game account email, or any other game account credentials. Anyone purporting to be Market Sniper and requesting such credentials is impersonating us.
10. No Real-Money Trading
Plain English: Don't use Market Sniper to set up gold-for-cash deals. It violates virtually every game's rules and can be illegal.
You may not use the Service to facilitate, plan, advertise, broker, or execute real-money trading (RMT) — the exchange of in-game currency, items, or services for real-world currency or for value in another game. RMT is prohibited by virtually every supported game publisher, may violate consumer-protection and anti-money-laundering laws in many jurisdictions, and is a material breach of our Terms of Service.
We do not endorse, facilitate, or process RMT transactions. Use of the Service in furtherance of RMT will result in account termination.
11. Experience Is Recommended, Not Required
Plain English: You don't need to be an expert to use Market Sniper. We recommend it. If you are new, use Practice Mode (Pro) first.
Experience trading in-game economies is recommended but not assumed. Beginners are welcome to use the Service. To support beginners, we provide:
- Free-tier access to ranked opportunities, market-health states, and confidence context — enough to develop intuition without spending money;
- Pro-tier access to Practice Mode for risk-free hands-on learning;
- Plain-English plain-language disclaimers throughout the product (you are reading one).
That said: the Service does not protect you from your own decisions. A beginner who skips the disclaimers, ignores Practice Mode, and bets large positions on a "high confidence" signal will lose money in the same way an experienced trader doing the same thing would. Confidence in the tool is not a substitute for confidence in your own judgment, formed through study and practice.
12. Virtual Items Have No Real-World Value
Plain English: Game gold and items are not money. They have no real-world value. They can disappear at any time.
In-game currency, items, and other virtual property reflected by the Service are owned by the relevant game publisher under that publisher's terms. They have no real-world monetary value. We make no representation regarding their continued existence, transferability, redeemability, or persistence. Any "value" attributed to them is purely game-internal.
13. You Assume All Risk
Plain English: Every decision is yours. Every profit is yours. Every loss is yours. We are not on the hook.
By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept that you are solely responsible for:
- your trading decisions;
- the outcomes of those decisions, including profits, losses, lost opportunities, and lost in-game wealth;
- compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and game-publisher terms;
- the security of your game account;
- the consequences of relying on Service outputs;
- the consequences of relying on AI-generated content;
- the consequences of acting on stale data;
- the consequences of misinterpreting confidence scores or projections.
The Service is a tool. The decisions are yours. The consequences are yours.
14. Not a Securities or Commodities Service
For the avoidance of doubt: in-game currency and items are not securities, not commodities, not derivatives, not currencies (in any legal or financial sense), and not regulated financial instruments under any law we are aware of as of the version date of this document. The Service is not a securities exchange, broker-dealer, investment adviser, commodity trading advisor, money services business, or money transmitter, and does not register as any of the foregoing. Nothing in the Service should be construed as the offer, sale, or solicitation of any regulated financial product.
If a regulator in a jurisdiction where you reside takes a different view, you are responsible for compliance with that view. Notify us at legal@[domain] if you receive any such determination affecting your use of the Service.
