DMCA Copyright Policy
How to report copyright infringement on the Service. Designated agent and notice procedure.
DMCA Copyright Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-10
Version: 2026-05-10
Plain English: We respect copyright. If something on Market Sniper infringes your copyright, here's how to tell us. If we get told that something you posted infringes, here's how you can respond.
1. Background
Market Sniper respects the intellectual property rights of others. We comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. This DMCA Policy describes the procedure for submitting copyright infringement notices and counter-notices.
User-generated content surface on the Service is currently minimal (no public posts, no comments, no media uploads). Most of the Service's output is computed from publicly available market data. This Policy nevertheless governs any user-generated content that may appear on the Service now or in the future.
2. Designated Agent
Notices of claimed copyright infringement should be sent to our designated DMCA agent:
Designated Copyright Agent
[ENTITY NAME]
Attn: DMCA Agent
[REGISTERED ADDRESS]
dmca@[domain](Designated-agent registration with the U.S. Copyright Office: [pending — registration is a high-priority follow-up; status will be updated once registration is complete.])
3. How to File a Notice of Infringement (Notification)
If you believe that material accessible on the Service infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to act on behalf of, send a written notice to the designated agent that includes all of the following (the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive copyright that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works).
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, with sufficient information to allow us to locate the material (URLs are best).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and (if available) an electronic mail address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Incomplete notices will be returned without action. Knowingly making material misrepresentations in a DMCA notice may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
4. Our Response to a Valid Notice
Upon receipt of a notice that complies with the requirements above, we will:
- expeditiously remove or disable access to the material identified;
- take reasonable steps to notify the user who provided the material that we have removed or disabled access;
- record the takedown action in our internal audit substrate.
5. Counter-Notification
If you are a user whose material has been removed or disabled in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the material was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to the designated agent that includes all of the following (the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3)):
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided notification or an agent of such person.
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original notifier and (unless the original notifier files a court action seeking a restraining order) restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.
Knowingly making material misrepresentations in a counter-notification may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
Consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), we maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of users we determine to be repeat infringers. The determination is fact-specific and at our reasonable discretion based on the totality of notices received and the user's response.
7. Trademark and Other Intellectual-Property Concerns
This Policy addresses copyright infringement under the DMCA. For trademark, right-of-publicity, or other intellectual-property concerns:
- send a written notice to legal@[domain] describing the issue, the rights you assert, and the URL(s) of the material at issue;
- include sufficient evidence of your rights and (if applicable) your authority to assert them;
- we will respond and take such action as we determine appropriate.
8. Game Publisher Trademarks
Trademarks belonging to game publishers (e.g., Old School RuneScape, RuneScape, Jagex; EVE Online, CCP Games; World of Warcraft, Blizzard; Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix; Albion Online, Sandbox Interactive; Path of Exile, Grinding Gear Games) are the property of their respective owners. Reference to game names, item names, currency names, or game-economy data is for the purpose of identifying the in-game economy whose data the Service analyzes — it does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement. See the Terms of Service §6.
